Meeting point: Chedworth Roman Villa, Yanworth; meet up in the Woodland car park. Free parking in woodland car park on left as you approach, postcode GL54 3LJ. The Museum prefers it if day walkers don’t take all the street parking closest to their front door. Please car share if possible. 10am start is so we don’t get entangled with the Villa visitors. Please note: once off the Fosse Way, many of the nearby roads are single track, follow signs for the Roman Villa. Don’t follow signs to Chedworth. No public transport, and no mobile signal at the start point, so late arrival is not advisable.

A decent walk through the wooded valley and up onto the surrounding farmland. Pub stop in Withington part-way around, coffee shop at the end. Somewhat hilly.

• Please bring packed lunch.
• Pub stop along route
• Dogs welcome, on leads please
